Deconstructed Rose 05.11

Maharam introduces Deconstructed Rose, a traditional floral needlepoint transformed through a modern, pixilated scale. Densely woven in an opulent old-world construction on an eight-color tapestry warp with a half-width repeat, Deconstructed Rose uses a range of weave structures, including a long stepped basket and a heavy rib weave, to create texture and dimension. This magnified scale reveals the technique of mixing color as side-by-side yarns, resulting in painterly fields of rich olive, citrine, sienna, and madder.

New York-based Maharam offers a comprehensive collection of textiles for contract and residential applications. Maharam textiles are available to the trade and at select retail locations in North America, through its Danish partner Kvadrat in Europe, and through Kvadrat Maharam in Sydney and Dubai.
