Tord Boontje (b. 1968, the Netherlands) is a London-based industrial designer whose signature use of computer-generated floral motifs offer a romantic lyricism to the hard edge of product design. Boontje studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven before receiving his master's degree from the Royal College of Art, where he now teaches. In 1996, he founded Studio Tord Boontje and has since collaborated with notable entities such as Alexander McQueen and Kvadrat. His textile designs play on light and perception, creating illusions and depth in the spaces they inhabit.
