About Allan McCollum

New York-based multidisciplinary artist Allan McCollum (b. 1944, United States) has worked for thirty years to create a system of unique shapes for every person on the planet at maximum population. In a world of mass production, McCollum is interested in how objects attain personal and public meaning. Throughout his career he has taught at various institutions, including Rhode Island School of Design and Bard College (New York), and currently teaches at Columbia University (New York) and Yale University (Connecticut).
