About Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

Ronan (b. 1971, France) and Erwan Bouroullec (b. 1976, France) are industrial designers who opened their Paris-based studio in 1999 after graduating from the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the École des Beaux-Arts in Cergy-Pontoise respectively. At times experimental and conceptual, their multidisciplinary work challenges convention through simplicity, flexibility, and rigor across architecture, interior, furniture, and product design. With dialogue at the center of their creative practice, both brothers jointly approve all of the studio's output. Maintaining a close partnership with one of their earliest supporters, Galerie Kreo, the Bouroullecs count Cappellini, Magis, Kartell, Issey Miyake, and Vitra among their numerous collaborators.
