Communications Associate
New York, NY

Maharam is seeking a Communications Associate for our New York City office. The essential functions of the position include writing the Presentation Guidelines: an in-depth, strategic sales training manual published seven times a year. This document introduces an average of fifteen products every two months to our sales force and equips them with language they can in turn use when presenting in front of their clients. The ideal candidate will be a proficient writer able to balance the perspectives of design, sales and other stakeholders while crafting compelling, on-brand narratives about our products, collaborations, creative initiatives, and company. In addition, the role will create and edit copy as needed: from product descriptions and social media captions to press releases. The successful candidate will possess superb writing and editing skills, strong ability to think analytically and creatively, have efficient project and time management skills, possess a high level of self-motivation and self-management, be dedicated to excellence and attention to detail, especially when it comes to language, have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work across all levels of the organization and have a strong understanding of art and design, with an interest in textiles preferred. A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with three to five years of experience working with other creative fields, particularly product/graphic designers, is preferred. Writing samples are required.

System Administrator

Maharam is seeking a System Administrator for our Yaphank location. The main responsibilities include daily administration of a network/server environment, provide level 2 support to helpdesk technicians when requests are escalated, create/remove users from Microsoft Active Directory and related systems, provide end user support for VOIP phone system, and other tasks as assigned. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, four plus years of network troubleshooting experience, Cisco CCNA certification preferred, must be able to complete complex projects with minimal supervision, and possess effective problem solving skills.

Design Coordinator

Maharam is seeking a Design Coordinator for our New York location. The Design Coordinator will work with the design team and manage the product development process. The essential functions of the position include coordinating and managing design projects with internal staff and resources, planning the product introduction schedule, managing the on-time shipment of approval samples, and leading and directing the work of others to accomplish goals. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects, will be detail oriented, assertive yet pleasant and professional, and be proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel & Outlook). A minimum of five years work experience with project management and/or supervising skills necessary; bachelor's degree preferred.

.Net Application Developer
Yaphank, NY

Maharam is seeking a .NET Application Developer for our Yaphank location. The .NET Application Developer will develop software using current application standards in .Net, participate in various phases of SDLC including design, coding, reviews, testing and documentation, utilize design methologies, object-oriented design and design patterns, create back-end code and interfaces for new web platforms, work with teams through out the company to determine feasibility, business and functional requirements and technical designs on assigned projects, create views, stored procedure and functions, database optimization and provide on-going support, maintenance and enhancement of current Basic system. The ideal candidate will have experience with building software applications for internal and customer-facing web-based applications; a strong knowledge of Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, Web API, VB .NET, HTML, Web Services, JavaScript, and XML technologies (SOAP, WCF, etc.), plus familiarity with Git, source control, and SQL Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS). Experience with third-party reporting engines is a plus, as is experience with multi tiered enterprise software application design and development. The candidate must also be proficient in database programming and database design (SQL Server, MYSQL) and be able to integrate websites with other computer applications. A related bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, along with 3-5 years of experience developing with ASP.NET, C#, AngularJS2, HTML5, Bootstrap, XML, JQuery, JavaScript, and VBScript while using key .NET features such as MVC, LINQ and Entity Framework plus using/consuming Web APIs from both C# and JS.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling our collection, including the promotion of Maharam products to the Architecture and Design community, as well as other industry-related clients, such as office furniture dealers and wallcovering contractors. The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic, and a well-informed communicator with a strong record of accomplishments and successful history of project involvement. The candidate must be looking to further their creative talents within the sales arena and possess the ability to effectively partner with and motivate others. The position requires the highest level of commitment to integrity. A degree is preferred, in the textile and/or design industry. Organization and time management skills are a must.

Order Processor
Yaphank, NY

Maharam is seeking an Order Processor for our Yaphank, NY location. The Order Processor will pack UPS and freight orders requiring heavy lifting (approximately 70 lbs.), load and unload trucks, pick orders and stock shelves, and receive and ticket inventory. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is required.
