Manager Finance
Yaphank, NY

Maharam is seeking a Manager in the Finance department at our Long Island location. The Manager will oversee the company's finance functions inclusive of budgeting, forecasting, cash management and credit analytics. The main responsibilities include overseeing cash management function including cash flow projections, overseeing the Credit and AR function including general AR analytics, customer credit limit analytics and negotiations with customers regarding payment terms, create and implement company-wide budgets, work with Manager of Accounting on monthly close for variance analysis to plan and forecast, forecast modeling and ad-hoc reporting, manage joint venture reporting and third party agreements including Herman Miller partnerships and hire, train and mentor finance staff. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with five to seven years of management experience in accounting/finance; CPA preferred. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word are necessary. The individual will be highly organized, exhibit superior communication skills, and is required to work in a confidential environment.

Manager, General Accounting

Maharam is seeking a General Accounting Manager in the Finance department at our Long Island location. The Manager will oversee the accounting, accounts payable and contract administration functions while supervising staff in all areas. The main responsibilities include generating the company's monthly and quarterly financial reports, preparing and analyzing the year-end financial audit package while reporting to parent company/audit firm, administering company s corporate credit card accounts program, supervising preparation/reporting of royalty payments, managing fixed asset system, recruit, hire and train General Accounting and Accounts Payable staff, assign and schedule tasks and communicate job expectations to staff including evaluating job performance and recommend compensation adjustments, implementing and documenting processes and procedures in accordance with company policy and SOX compliance, as well as monitoring daily tasks of the department and identify process improvements. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with five to seven years of management experience in accounting/finance; CPA preferred. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word are necessary. The individual will be highly organized, exhibit superior communication skills, and is required to work in a confidential environment.
