Part-Time Temporary Application Programmer
Yaphank, NY

Maharam is seeking a part-time temporary Intern in our Programming department. The Intern will design codes, provide testing, implement changes to new and existing solutions, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. In addition, the Intern will perform quality applications testing to assure the delivery of a product that the meets the user's specifications. The successful candidate must have database and SQL experience, along with web and windows applications. Experience in Java and/or basic development is a must. The successful candidate must have strong communication, organization, analytic and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work in a team setting. Order Processor

Maharam is seeking an Order Processor for our Yaphank, NY location. The Order Processor will pack UPS and freight orders requiring heavy lifting (approximately 50 lbs.), load and unload trucks, pick orders and stock shelves, and receive and ticket inventory. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is required.

Manager, Communications

Maharam is seeking a Manager of Communications. The Manager is responsible for helping to define and implement Maharam's global brand strategy. This includes direction and expression, considering all linguistic and visual messaging, internally and externally. This person reports to Maharam's President while working closely with Media, Design, Product Management, and Sales. An ability to operate collaboratively and self-sufficiently in a highly creative environment across all levels of the organization is vital. As a design leader, Maharam frequently distinguishes itself by ignoring the standard marketing playbook. To be successful, this position requires someone who can think independently, creatively, and strategically while anticipating audience reception and market reaction. A sophisticated understanding of brand, a progressive approach to communications and marketing, a passion for design, and an elevated aesthetic sensibility are all essential. The ideal candidate will define and communicate overarching company goals, generate annual marketing plan, write and edit all messaging: from high-level corporate materials to press releases and product copy, review content plan for digital marketing and social media, assess and execute opportunities for brand exposure, including exhibitions, events, and special projects, determine press release lineup and schedule; support pitches, select publications and issues for print advertising; negotiate contracts and rates; define content mix; create and maintain schedule for Media, manage collaborator, partner, editorial, and VIP relationships, and oversee department budget and staff. A degree in Communications, English, Design, or related discipline, 7-10+ years of professional experience in a high-profile communications role, either at an agency or in-house, knowledge of the architecture-and-design industry and/or textiles a plus, and combination of B-to-B and B-to-C experience a plus.

Manager, Business Analytics

Maharam is seeking a Manager, Business Analytics department at our Long Island location. The Manager will provide business intelligence to the leadership team to help with informed decision making and manage the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. The main responsibilities include analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance, utilizing business intelligence tools to better understand operating results and deliver meaningful insight to business leaders, communicating to business leaders the reasons behind their department performance and results, reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost savings initiatives, providing insight to senior management around financial modeling, forecasting and profitability, and driving accountability through monthly reporting and analysis relative to performance against targets; assist implementing mitigation strategies when shortfalls occur. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with two to three years of management experience in accounting/finance; CPA or MBA preferred. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word are necessary. The individual will be highly organized, exhibit superior communication skills, and strong analytical skills, curious and enjoy solving complex programs.
