Federico Herrero (b. 1978, Costa Rica) is an artist whose paintings, installations, and public works are rooted in observations of everyday life. Herrero is known for his bold use of color and form to beckon a closer look at the liminal spaces between nature and culture, language and communication, space and movement. He studied at Pratt Institute (New York) and now lives and works in San Jose, Costa Rica.
