February 2021

February marks the launch of our latest product initiative, Maharam Wool. Beginning with three styles, this series will gradually diversify with wools of unique depth and specificity. These textiles are complemented by a fleecy residential upholstery with a lofty pile as well as a hand-knit rug and two delicately hued window coverings.

Luce

Woven in Italy, Luce has a rich palette derived from the post-consumer recycled wool of repurposed garments sourced throughout Europe. Rather than dyeing new wool, garment fibers are shredded, sorted and cleaned before being spun back into yarn. These resulting colors are offered in thirty-five variegated hues.

Campana

Campana is a finely pressed woolen basic whose tailored construction results in a delicately crosshatched surface. Campana’s thirty-five colors are created through the careful mixing of black or white fibers with solid colors, then combined with nylon for increased durability.

Beck

Beck is a heathered plain weave with a soft hand and high abrasion resistance. Enlisting premium wool sourced from New Zealand, Australia, and South America, Beck is spun, woven and pressed in a single location, thereby minimizing the environmental impact of standard textile transportation.

Pasture

The Maharam Design Studio is building upon a collection of textiles specifically intended for use in residential interiors, using an approach rooted in simplicity and material purity. Knit in France from fine merino wool, Pasture references the rustic elements of sheepskin, combining pronounced texture with material simplicity.
