Abbott Miller (b. 1963, United States) is a New York- and Maryland-based graphic designer and writer. After graduating from The Cooper Union School of Art (New York), he pioneered the concept of the "designer as author" by founding Design/Writing/Research, a multidisciplinary studio in which content and form are developed in tandem. In 1997, Miller began teaching design at the Maryland Institute College of Art and later became a partner at the international design consultancy, Pentagram, where he continues to focus on conceptual publications and exhibitions.
