Proenza Schouler (founded 2002) is a New York-based womenswear and accessories brand founded by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Named after McCollough and Hernandez's mothers' maiden names, Proenza Schouler began when the designers met as students at Parsons School of Design and is recognized for its use of fine materials infused with a sense of effortlessness and ease. The brand has received numerous awards since its inception, including five CFDA Fashion Awards and has collaborated with brands including L'Oreal, Birkenstock, and Mercedes-Benz. Proenza Schouler has a flagship boutique in New York and is sold in over 350 stores worldwide, including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods, Galeries Lafayette, and Printemps.
