Verse
300095–001
Referencing patterns found in nature, Verse shares its name with Miles Huston's series of drawings of an irregular, infinite motif. By following a strict set of rules, which Huston usually calculates and maps manually, this iterative design never repeats itself. Huston used a computer application to chart the fifty-by-fifty-foot iteration on which Verse is based, yet it retains the marks of his labor: hand-colored blocks, corrections, traced lines.
