Midtown by Sarah Morris

Sarah Morris (b. 1967, United Kingdom) is a painter and filmmaker based in New York and London. She is known for her large-scale, vividly colorful paintings whose complex patterns reflect the geometry underpinning urban environments. A reflection on the artist’s years at her former Times Square studio, Midtown references the corporate landscape at the heart of New York.

Hellion Equilibrium by Sarah Morris

Hellion Equilibrium echoes a permanent, site-specific installation by Morris that was originally rendered in pigmented glass on the platform of the Dutch Kills MTA stop in Long Island City, Queens. An evolving spectrum of bold color and jagged geometric forms, the mural references the motion of commuters through public urban space.
