The New Establishment

This spring Maharam and PIN–UP  hosted a conversation to honor a new era of thought leadership at some of New York’s most significant cultural institutions. Three breakout curators in design and architecture were appointed to prominent posts within the past year including Alexandra Cunningham Cameron of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, José Esparza Chong Cuy of Storefront for Art and Architecture, and V. Mitch McEwen of IdeasCity. Moderated by Felix Burrichter, founding editor of PIN–UP, the panel invited each practitioner to share their perspective on curation in the 21st century.
